The Type ‘CD’ Fig. No. 512 Pressure Reducing Valve is a self-operated, direct-acting valve featuring a single-seat design with a balanced piston, diaphragm control, and spring-loaded regulation.
The reduced outlet pressure is transmitted to the diaphragm, which automatically modulates the valve position against the flow direction. This action maintains the desired downstream pressure as determined by the spring adjustment. Thanks to its balanced spindle construction, changes in inlet pressure do not affect the set outlet pressure.
Designed for reliable shut-off and precise pressure control, this valve is ideally suited for high-pressure applications involving water, compressed air, gases, oils, and various chemical fluids where tight sealing performance is essential.
