Figure 213 is a direct-acting, piston-balanced, single-seated pressure reducing valve equipped with spring regulation.
Operation:
The valve is hydraulically balanced at the inlet, allowing the downstream pressure to remain stable regardless of variations in the upstream supply pressure.
Pressure regulation is achieved through the force generated by the downstream pressure acting on the valve disc, which is counteracted by an adjustable regulating spring. The desired outlet pressure is set by adjusting the spring compression via the adjustment screw. This establishes and maintains the required downstream pressure.
