The ‘ROMA’ Type ‘MF’ Pressure Reducing Valve is a hydraulically actuated valve featuring a single-seat design, piston operation, diaphragm control, and spring-assisted regulation.
Engineered to automatically lower high and varying inlet pressures, it maintains a stable and consistent downstream pressure regardless of changes in flow demand.
The diaphragm-operated pilot senses the outlet pressure and closes once the preset downstream pressure is reached. This allows inlet pressure to pass through an internal channel and accumulate above the piston, causing the main valve to close at a controlled rate determined by a calibrated restriction orifice.
Its specially contoured valve plug ensures smooth and progressive closure as it approaches the valve seat, providing precise pressure regulation and enhanced stability, even under low-flow operating conditions.
